What I'm Loving Lately via Britt's Blurbs

Man it’s been a while since I’ve done a random “blurb” of what I’m loving lately!

So a couple weekends ago I went into Sephora specifically looking for the Supermud Glam Glow Face Mask in a sample size so I could try it out. But it was Saturday afternoon and the mall was PACKED. So of course there wasn’t what I was looking for. And of course I got overwhelmed with the millions of girls in the story trying on and buying everything so I felt I needed to fit in and just start throwing things I’ve wanted in my basket… bad idea. However, a dent in the wallet later did prove to be a good investment because I’m loving these new products!

Tarte Envy | Britt's Blurbs

I’ve raved about my love for the Tarte Tinted BB Primer and the Tarte “Lucky” Color Lip tint before. They’re phenomenal products all naturally made and free of chemicals. I’ve been wanting a darker lip tint for fall/winter and this is the PERFECT color for me. Tarte Envy Lip Tint. It’s not too dark but adds just enough difference to make my lips pop. I rarely wear lipstick/gloss so this is nice because it stays on long and doesn’t feel sticky.

Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo | Britt's Blurbs

OMG. This stuff. HEAVEN. I already expressed my love for it via Instagram last week but I swear I don’t think I’ll ever go back to regular Suave dry shampoo. This Detox Dry Shampoo by Drybar is definitely worth the higher price tag. Not only does it last all day long and I can finally go three days without washing my hair but it smells amazing.

And just because I’ve had the worst time finding a healthy routine for my hair with working out every morning I’ll quickly share what I’ve found to work for me.
I’ll normally only wash my hair 3-4 days a week now. On the days I don’t wash my hair I pull my hair up into a high bun but leave out my face frames to wash since those always get so dirty with working out every day. After my shower I blow dry my face frames out so they lay evenly around my face. Then I use the dry shampoo to rub into my roots and soak up any access oil. Typically on the days I don’t wash my hair I put in a few curls to add volume and dimension!

Normally I am THE WORST at making my hair look decent but I’m finally finding a routine that works and that looks good for me!

Boscia Face Wash | Britt's Blurbs

Another thing I’ve been eyeing is this Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser after reading good reviews on it and it’s meant for people with combination/sensitive skin. This stuff is crazy cool because it actually warms as you apply it! I use this in the evenings as a deep cleanser to really clean all the oils from the day off my face. I follow my evening face wash with an acne spot treatment for troubled spots and have been using coconut oil as my evening moisturizer on the nights I don’t use the overnight moisturizing mask listed below. I was hesitant trying coconut oil has a moisturizer again worrying it would cause extra breakouts but so far my breakouts seem normal and continue to be timed around “that time of the month”.

Origins Face Masks | Britt's Blurbs

Since Sephora didn’t have the Glam Glow mask in a sample size I didn’t want to splurge for a big container yet. So this Origins sample packet caught my eye. It contained the Clear Improvement mask for deep cleansing, Out of Trouble mask for spot cleansing and a Drink Up Intensive overnight mask.

Since the weather is drying up my skin more I’ve reduced my deep cleansing to 3-4 days a week. So far I’ve enjoyed both the Clear Improvement mask and the Out of Trouble and have seen results with both. I can’t really tell how much the overnight mask is working but I’ll report back as the weather continues to get colder and my face needs more moisturizer.

I’ve finally finished my window decor project too!

I got the idea from The Lily Pad Cottage when she posted a tutorial on a DIY Christmas Card holder. I thought it was a great idea and I could use an old window as a place to hang decor on my accent table all year long! This is my Thanksgiving themed table. I’m not too found of the black clothes pins but that was all I had. I’ll probably pick up some regular brown clothes pins soon and swap them out.

Once Thanksgiving is over I’ll start transforming this space into Christmas themed and also use the window to hang my Christmas cards I receive!

So those are just a few of the products/things I’m loving lately! XOXO
