Happy opening day to fellow Braves and baseball fans! Although I’m still a Tigers fan at heart, I gotta root for the Braves especially since they’ll be moving to Cobb County next season.

Today marks the last home opener at the TED so I’ve partnered with Templeton Rye to bring you a delicious, game day cocktail that you can enjoy during the tailgate or sitting on your couch, cheering the team on.

This cocktail combines some of America’s favorite things, peanuts and coca cola. And of course whiskey. Add in baseball season and it really doesn’t get much better than that!

I’m heading to the game tonight and I couldn’t be more excited for the start of baseball season. It also marks the start of warmer weather, green grass, and longer evenings.

This is named “The Tomahawk” after, of course, The Braves. This is a recipe for one cocktail so just double the ingredients if you’re making more than one.

I used to love putting peanuts in my coke bottle. I remember walking back from Woodie’s market trying to get the peanuts out without spilling the coke all over my face.
