This week is just feeling extra long and hard. Ever feel that way?
With my family gone this week, work stress and personal stress, my body is feeling just worn out.
I’m trying to “rev” my engines again by using my essential body oil/lotion at night when I wind down, fueling my body with clean foods (after all my indulgences last week) and reminding myself to take things one.step.at.a.time.
1/2 banana w/ 1 tsp. fresh homemade almond butter
With the weather starting to warm up it looks like overnight oats or smoothies will be back on my breakfast rotation. In the mix I have honey greek yogurt, chia seeds, oats, L-Glutamine and almond milk. With a side of my morning apple cider vinegar cocktail.
Every day a hard boiled egg to keep me from crashing mid-morning. Plus a side of a few sips of green juice! Trying to squeeze those extra greens.
Side note… I feel like on almost all my WIAW I’m wearing my maroon pants. I promise I don’t wear them every day!
Yesterdays lunch featured a mix of brown rice, asparagus, grilled shrimp and avocado with a side of sweet potato & apple. And yes, that’s how I’ve been eating my roasted sweet potato halves lately. Just stick a fork in them and dig out the goods!

This was a homemade granola bar with leftover Amaranth Granola Clusters that I mixed with melted PB, coconut oil and brown rice syrup. Oh my goodness, so good!
Pretty pretty dinner. Just what I needed after I long go-go-go day in the office! I stir-fried organic steak slices, onion, sugar snap peas and peppers with some braqq’s aminos and served it in a bowl/large mug over brown rice. I kind of had to dig for the brown rice because the bowl ended up not working out for a stir-fry too well!
